NSANZ is the association for New Zealanders who speak professionally and those who aspire to.

Our members are experts in their fields and speak on a variety of topics at conferences, meetings and events in New Zealand and overseas.

Join NSANZ if you want to start or improve your speaking business, and connect with a supportive, enthusiastic and encouraging community.

Hire a NSANZ Member Speaker if you want a professional who has pledged to abide by professional ethical standards.

Most of our members make all (or part of) their living from professional speaking as keynote speakers, MCs, trainers, seminar presenters, humourists or storytellers. Some are just starting a professional speaking career. Others are experts who speak as part of their profession or business.

Professional speaking is a relatively new field and can be a solitary sort of working life. NSANZ provides a place for speakers to meet and talk with their peers - people who understand the challenges a speaking career can bring.

When you’re always imparting expertise to others, it’s great to meet regularly with people like you, people who are positive, go-getting, enthusiastic and supportive, who share your challenges and are happy to help you to greater success.

Chapters usually meet once a month and there are other events organised throughout the year, plus overseas conventions that offer inspiration and education at the highest level.

NSANZ compared to Toastmasters

Although there are a number of groups who promote excellence in speaking, the various National Speaker groups around the world are the only bodies to represent members of the professional speaking industry.

Many of our members have learnt their craft in wonderful organisations like Toastmasters, and many continue to enjoy membership with them. NSANZ serves a very different purpose - to help aspiring professional speakers turn their skills into a business and, to help established professional speakers improve their businesses
